Beethoven documentary to premiere at Barbican, London :::
In
Search of Beethoven Theatrical release: March 30th, 2009 at the Barbican
Theatre, London.
Julia
is featured playing three of Beethoven's chamber works in Phil Grabsky's second
composer documentary, the 'follow up' to the hugely successful In Search of
Mozart.
She
can be heard and seen playing extracts from the Op.1/1 piano trio, the Op.24 'Spring'
sonata for piano and violin, as well as the Op.102/1 sonata for piano and cello.
The
documentary includes contributions and performances from Emanuel Ax, Christoph
Berner, Jonathan Biss, Riccardo Chailly, Jonathan Del Mar, Endellion Quartet,
Alban Gerhardt, Richard Harwood, Janine Jansen, Sir Roger Norrington, Gianandrea
Noseda, Vadim Repin, Alexander Sitkovetsky, Lars Vogt and many, many more...
In
May / June 2009, the documentary will be shown as 5 episodes on Sky Arts (UK).
